Prassede Calabi, PhD
Prassede
Calabi, PhD, is Principal and Owner of MindFire and Black
Cat Consulting, and works out of the Boston (MA) area. For
nearly 25 years, she has successfully developed, written,
collaborated, and consulted on funded grants, including
National Science Foundation grants for $1.4M, $2.6M, and
$5M. She has taught numerous academic and professional workshops,
served on funding committees, advisory boards, review and
editorial boards; and has developed / led research and work
teams of up to 45 people. In addition, she has taught at
College of the Atlantic, Boston University, and Harvard
University Continuing Education. She is the author of 2
dozen peer-review and other articles, and of the four-volume
text Ecology: A Systems Approach.
Being first generation Swiss-Italian, and having lived
abroad (Madagascar, Kenya, Australia, Costa Rica) she is
particularly attuned to cultural subtlety and nuance.
She has degrees from Yale, the University of Chicago, and
Boston University.
